Dr. Hayken has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery in the Community for over 28 years. He graduated from Hofstra University and attended Medical School at Temple University in Philadelphia and was subsequently trained in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania where he had the honor of being Chief Resident.

Dr. Hayken has authored or co-authored many scientific papers in the field of Orthopaedics. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS). He is a member of the Burlington County Medical Society, the New Jersey State Medical Society, the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society, and the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Hayken's interests are in total joint replacement of the hip and knee, and in general orthopaedics. He is skilled in hip resurfacing and in partial knee replacement.

Dr. Hayken is Co-director of the Virtua Memorial Fracture Center and Chief of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey. In September 2010, he was listed among New Jersey's top doctors, as recommended by his peers in New Jersey Monthly Magazine. He was also recognized by the Consumers' Research Council of America in their "2011 Guide to America's Top Orthopaedists."
