Dr. Schwartz is a graduate of Duke University and attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Following a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Schwartz completed a Fellowship in sports medicine at the world renowned Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
He is a member of numerous state and local medical societies including the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine,
The American College of Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy
Associates of North America. He is Board Certified in the practice of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a
Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons (FAAOS).
Dr. Schwartz is Co-director of Virtua Health's Sports Medicine Program. In November 2009, he was listed
among New Jersey's top doctors, as recommended by his
peers in New Jersey Monthly Magazine. In Feb 2010, he
was selected as one of the NURSES CHOICE of Top
Doctors based on a poll of NJ nurses, also in New
Jersey Monthly Magazine. Dr. Schwartz was recognized
as one of New Jersey's "Most Recommended
Physicians" 2011 by National Consumers Survey.
He was also recognized by the Consumers' Research
Council of America in the 2011, 2012, and 2013
"Guide to America's Top Orthopaedists," and
named to SJ Magazine's Top Doc's list for 2011 and 2012 for Sports Medicine. Dr. Schwartz was also recognized as a 2012 Patients' Choice doctor based on patients'
continued satisfaction and appreciation and a 2013 Top Doc by the International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Schwartz's interests not only include sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery
but general orthopaedics as well. He resides in Moorestown with his wife and three children.
